Share your professional experience.

For those who work in consulting companies what do you think is the best way to share it with your network?

Linkedin offers several options, giving plenty of freedom for users to choose how they share their professional experiences. For some people this might cause some confusion and sometimes a lack of transparency for recruiters.

Particularly at consulting companies, I see people sharing the client’s name with the consulting company name in the description or the opposite. Sometimes we don’t even see the client’s name (for confidentiality reasons). Also, I see many people creating two job experiences one for each company with the exact date.

There is no exact formula to do this!!

Linkedin allows you to add a work experience with a description (important) and then add projects that you can link to the experience (they will appear at the end of your profile). Unfortunately, many people don’t know this.

One thing I know for sure, it’s important to be transparent, authentic and share reliable information.
